The League of Legends (LoL): Wild Rift League (WRL) 2022: LoL Professional League Qualifier (LPL) will serve as the qualifiers for both the WRL Season 1 and the Wild Rift World Championship 2021. The tournament is represented by all teams who are part of the current LPL in China. The Wild Rift League 2022: LPL Qualifier is expected to kick off on 11th Sept 2021 and will feature 17 LPL teams competing for the glory of representing China in the international tournament. Riot Games is yet to reveal prize pool details as well as the schedule for each stage of the Wild Rift League 2022: LPL Qualifier.

Wild Rift League 2022: LPL Qualifier details

The top-tier Chinese esports organizations from the LoL PC esports scene, widely known as the LPL teams, will jump into the the mobile MOBA title in the upcoming qualifier event. The teams will be competing for a spot in the upcoming Wild Rift World Championship, as well as a chance to join the WRL Season 1, the LPL counterpart of Wild Rift.

The Wild Rift League 2022: LPL Qualifier will run for a total of three weeks, starting from 11th September to 1st Oct 2021. Teams will be competing on three stages leading to the grand finals. Riot Games is yet to reveal the schedules for each stage of the tournament.

Group Stage

The 17 participating teams will be split into four groups. The first group will have five teams while the remaining three groups will have four teams each. Matches will be played in a round robin BO3 format. The top teams from each group advance to the playoffs while the second and third runner-ups will proceed to the breakout stage.

Breakout

This stage will have a total of four matches. Each match will have one group runner-up competing against a third-placer. All matches will be played in a BO5 format and the winner advances to the playoffs stage.

Playoffs

Matches will be played in a double-elimination bracket, except the one-off grand finals. All matches will be played in BO5, except the Lower Bracket Finals, 5th Place Match, and Grand Final are played in a Bo7.

Wild Rift League 2022: LPL Qualifier Prize Pool

Riot Games is yet to reveal the prize pool for the tournament. The top four teams in the final ranking will be seeded to the WRL Season 1 while the crowned champions will join the Wild Rift World Championship 2021.

It will be interesting to see which of the LPL teams will be able to dominate the upcoming Wild Rift League 2022: LPL Qualifier and make its way into the world championship event.
