More details for the upcoming League of Legends: Wild Rift Horizon Cup 2021 have been revealed. The group draw results and the tournament schedule have been finalized. The Wild Rift Horizon Cup 2021 will kick off with the group stage on 13th Nov 2021 leading to the grand finals on 21st November. The first ever international esports event for the mobile MOBA title will feature 10 teams from around the world competing for the title of World Champions and the lion’s share of the $500,000 USD prize pool. The Wild Rift Horizon Cup 2021 will also be held at a physical location in Singapore.

Wild Rift Horizon Cup 2021 group draw results have been finalized

The 10 participating teams have been divided into two groups, as revealed by Riot Games through a blog post. Here are the following teams and their respective groups;

Group A

  • Brazil: [TSM] TSM

  • China: [DKG] Da Kun Gaming

  • North America: [TG] Tribe Gaming

  • Southeast Asia: [SE] SBTC Esports

  • South Korea: [RY] Rolster Y

Group B

  • China: [TT] Thunder Talk Gaming

  • EMEA: [TQ] Team Queso

  • Japan: [SG] Sengoku Gaming

  • Latin America: [EBG] eBRO Gaming

  • Southeast Asia: [TS] Team Secret

The two groups were split based on the following criteria:

  • No 2 teams from the same country will begin in the same group

  • Maximize regional diversity and representation within each group

Wild Rift Horizon Cup 2021 Tournament Format

Group Stage (13th - 17th November)

Teams will play a single round-robin of BO3 matches in their respective groups. The top three teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage.

Knockout Stage/ Quarterfinals (19th November at 2:00 AM PST)

The first-place teams from Groups A and B will be seeded to the semifinals. The 2nd and 3rd place teams in group A will face off in the quarterfinals against the teams in Group B with the same rank as them in a single best-of-5 format.

Semifinals (20th November at 2:00 AM PST)

The winners of the quarterfinals round will move onto the semifinals where they will compete in a BO5 series against the top 1 of each group.

Grand Finals (21st November at 4:00 AM PST)

The semi finals winners will head to the grand finals and will compete in a BO7 series to decide who will claim the first Wild Rift international championship title.
