After intense matches, the North American (NA) team of Tribe Gaming won the League of Legends: Wild Rift Summoner Series Major 1. The team had a rough battle against NME in the grand finals but emerged victorious with a score of 3-2, earning them the championship title and $5,000 USD in prize winnings. Tribe Gaming will now proceed to the Wild Rift Summoner Series Major 2 on 16th Aug 2021 alongside NME, Cloud9, and Immortals. More information about Tribe Gaming’s hard-earned victory in the Wild Rift Summoner Series Major 1 can be found below.

Tribe Gaming Dominates the Wild Rift Summoner Series Major 1

Tribe Gaming made its mark in the Wild Rift esports scene in NA after winning Major 1 of the first Wild Rift esports event in NA. The team went toe to toe with NME, who had an impressive run in the lower bracket to make it to the grand finals. In the end, Tribe Gaming managed to close out the victory, finishing a 3-2 score, to claim the title.

The team cruised through the upper brackets of the Wild Rift Summoner Series Major 1 with its former Vainglory esports pro players Raul “Chuck” Chaidez, Ray “ttigers” Han, Joshrick “Starting” Hernandez, Gabriel “Oldskool” Villamariona, and Daniel “MaxGreen” Choi.

NME, who had hoped to continue their rich vein of form that saw them make their way through the lower brackets, secured two wins that led to a final deciding match. However Tribe Gaming was relentless and took them down in a 17-minute match in the title-decider.

Tribe Gaming will be going home with $5,000 USD while NME will get $2,000 as prize money. The 3rd and fourth placers Cloud9 and Immortals will receive $1,500 USD each. The top four teams will also proceed to the Wild Rift Summoner Series Major 2 which is scheduled to kick off on 16th Aug 2021.

The Wild Rift Summoner Series will have three majors in total with the top eight teams from the three Majors will proceed to the championship finals to compete for the title of NA Wild Rift champions.

Tribe Gaming originally had two Wild Rift teams but due to Riot Games’ policy of limiting organizations to holding only one team, the esports organization had to release its European team. The organization will now focus its resources to bolster its NA Wild Rift roster and support them in their run in the upcoming Wild Rift Summoner Series Major 2.

It will be interesting to see if Tribe Gaming will be able to keep its title until the championship finals of the Wild Rift Summoner Series.
