Team Secret announced its acquisition of the former DR Esports pro player Jordan "Raux" Pamintuan for its League of Legends: Wild Rift roster. Raux will serve as the team’s support player. However, it is still unclear whether he will be the primary support or just a substitute for the team. Raux will be joining Team Secret in the upcoming Wild Rift Champions Southeast Asia (WCS) 2022 - Philippines, scheduled to kick off on 25th Feb. The team shall aim to take the lion’s share of the $160,000 USD prize pool and secure a spot for the regional championship.

A new support specialist joins Team Secret’s Wild Rift squad

Shortly after the departure of one of its Mid Laners, Morris "Code" Raymundo, Team Secret announced that Raux will be joining the team as a support specialist. This was revealed through the official social media handles of Team Secret on 15th Feb.

“The Filipino connection just got stronger with the addition of a new Support to the gang,” captioned Team Secret.

Aside from being a former member of DR Esports, Raux is also one of the popular Wild Rift streamers in the Philippines. His comedic yet educational streams grabbed the attention of a lot of fans.

Before Team Secret officially announced his arrival, Raux pranked his fans by announcing that he would be retiring from being a streamer to focus on doing office work abroad. This left many of his fans disappointed but later on, they were ecstatic as Raux announced that he was now a member of Team Secret’s Wild Rift squad.

Last year, Team Secret had the opportunity to represent the Philippines in the Wild Rift Horizon Cup 2021, the world championship for the mobile MOBA title. The team achieved a solid 3rd-4th place finish in the tournament after being eliminated by the Chinese team, Da Kun Gaming in the semifinals.

With an additional support specialist, Team Secret aims higher as it shall compete in the WCS 2022 - Philippines for a chance to qualify for the regional championship and earn a ticket to this year’s Wild Rift Icons Global Championship 2022.
