Team Flash, often labeled "rejects" in the MPL Singapore esports landscape, boasts a roster of veterans who had previously competed in rival teams since Season 1. Despite the doubters and the "retiree" tag, Team Flash defied expectations to secure its first local championship. Remarkably, this victory marks Bellamy "Lolsie" Yeov’s fourth local title win in a row. He played a pivotal role in RSG SG's previous three championship victories before being loaned to Team Flash for a season.
The Grand Finals of MPL SG Season 6 witnessed a record-breaking peak concurrent viewership of 67,407, eclipsing the previous record set in Season 4, according to a report from Esports Charts. This historic showdown delivered thrilling moments, including Jaymark "Hadess" Lazaro's epic backdoor play in Game 5 and Team Flash's base narrowly avoiding defeat in Game 6, thanks to an outstanding defense by Adam "Adammir" Chong.
While RSG SG had a strong start, Team Flash mounted a spectacular comeback to the delight of their fans who watched from dawn to dusk, having already fought a fierce battle against EVIL in the Lower Bracket Finals earlier that day.
Eugene "Kayzeepi" Kong, Team Flash's Analyst, reflected on their miraculous journey: "It is quite a miracle. We pulled off from 1:3 all the way to 4:3... we took out things that we usually don't, and we still managed to do it because we trust each and every one of our players."
