RRQ announces acquisition of former Keyd Star members along with new players

Back on 22nd Feb, a rumor had started circulating that the Indonesian team, RRQ, was planning to expand its division to Brazil through the acquisition of one of the powerhouse MLBB teams in the region, Keyd Stars.

The rumors have finally been confirmed as RRQ officially announced its new Brazilian MLBB team, RRQ Akira which will represent Latin America in the upcoming MPL BR Season 2.

The team is comprises the following pro players;

  • Luiz Henrique “Luiizz” Alves - Roamer

  • Lucas Felipe “Kiing” Godoy - Jungle Lane

  • Arthur “Tekashi” Nascimento - EXP Lane

  • Gabriel “Blink” Favoreto - Substitute

  • Seigen - Midlane

  • Gustalagusta - Gold Lane

Luiizz, Kiing, Tekashi, and Blink were former members of Keyd Stars who participated in last year’s M3 World Championship. The team finished 8th place in the lower bracket playoffs after losing against the Filipino team, Blacklist International.

After its esports journey in the M3 World Championship, Keyd Stars disbanded its MLBB roster and released its pro players.

The two new players Seigen, and Gustalagusta are looking to prove themselves alongside the four pro players under RRQ Akira.

With RRQ acquiring some of the most formidable pro players in the Brazilian MLBB esports scene, fans can expect RRQ Akira to deliver a solid performance in upcoming tournaments.

The qualifiers stage for the MPL BR Season 2 concluded just recently with Zodiacs Esports, Imperial Esports, Beezeekay, and Omegha E-sports securing a ticket to the regular season. It will be interesting to see how RRQ Akira performs against these underdog teams in the upcoming MPL BR Season 2.
