Pokemon Unite has revealed an exciting new game mode where players can catch wild Pokemon and temporarily have it fight for them in a match. The new “Catch ‘Em” game mode features a wide variety of Pokemon to catch on the battlefield such as Ludicolo, Avalugg, and Drednaw, as well as the iconic Legendaries such as Articuno, Zapdos, and Regigigas. Capturing one of the wild Pokemon will allow a player to swap them out on the battlefield and use their abilities to gain the upper hand. However, it is still not revealed if these Pokemon can evolve or upgrade moves as they level up.

Pokemon Unite Catch ‘Em game mode details

The rising mobile MOBA title is no stranger to innovative game modes. It has released several game modes in the past themed around various holidays such as Halloween and Christmas. However, this may be the first time that Pokemon Unite has announced a major game mode with its own unique mechanics.

The Catch ‘Em game mode will be released on 31st May and will last until 27th June. The new game mode allows players to capture various wild Pokemon around the arena, following which players can then choose to deploy and control these captured wild Pokemon. This new Pokemon Unite mode also marks the debut of playable Legendary Pokemon. In the previous updates, Mythical Pokemon such as Zeraora and Hoopa were made playable and could be unlocked in the in-game shop.

Some camps in the arena will be replaced by these new wild Pokemon that players can capture to gain an advantage over their opponents. Once a Pokemon has been captured, players can swap them for the captured one anytime they wish.

The full details regarding the Pokemon Unite Catch ‘Em game mode’s rules and in-game mechanics are yet to be revealed. Fans will have to keep their eyes peeled for more updates in the future.

Pokemon Unite has recently been increasing the amount of content that is available for free users, which will help expand the game's popularity and player base in lower income regions.
