Pokemon UNITE has released its patch 1.5.1.6 update.
A few balance changes have been implemented with Hoopa receiving the most impact in its gameplay.
The new update features a new game mode called Catch 'Em where players can capture and take control of wild Pokemon.

Pokemon Unite has released a ton of balance changes for its recent Patch 1.5.1.6 update. These balance changes have been implemented to shake up the meta as Hoopa became a top priority pick which heavily influenced matches while Blastoise became a staple Pokemon in tournaments and ranked games. Balance changes to other Pokemon have also been implemented to make them more viable in various team compositions. A new game mode in Pokemon Unite titled Catch ‘Em has also debuted where trainers can capture various wild Pokemon around the arena, following which players can then choose to deploy and control these captured wild Pokemon.

Patch 1.5.1.6 Balance Changes (Nerf)

Greninja

  • Surf: Damage dealt to opposing Pokemon decreased from 1625 to 1402 (-14%)

  • Smokescreen: Fixed bug(s) causing one or more effects not to trigger.

Lucario

  • Extreme Speed+: The amount of additional damage done to the opponent’s Pokemon has been reduced.

  • Power-Up Punch: Fixed a bug that caused the Power-Up Punch damage to increase immediately after the unite move.

Hoopa

Hoopa received a nerf.
  • Hyperspace Fury: Damage dealt to the opposing Pokemon decreased from 1477 to 1120 (-24%)

  • Psybeam: Damage dealt to opposing Pokemon decreased from 2046 to 1841 (-10%)

  • Rings Unbound: Damage dealt to opposing Pokemon decreased.

Blissey

  • Egg Bomb:

  • Damage dealt to the opposing Pokemon decreased from 1446 to 1108 (-23%)

  • Cooldown reduced from 7.5s to 5s (-2.5s)

  • Soft-Boiled: Cooldown reduced from 2s to 1.5s (-0.5s)

Aegislash

  • Sacred Sword: Duration of effects on opposing Pokemon decreased.

Patch 1.5.1.6 Balance Changes (Buff)

Crustle

  • X-Scissor: Cooldown reduced from 9s to 7s (-2s)

Azumarill

  • Stat Changes: Azumarill stats were increased.

  • Aqua Tail: Damage increased.

  • Play Rough: Damage increased from 549 to 717 (+31%)

Gardevoir

  • Stat Changes: Evolution level changed from Level 9 to Level 8.

  • Confusion: Damage increased from 382 to 447 (+17%)

  • Psyshock: Damage increased 3918 to 4411 (+13%)

Tsareena

  • Stat Changes: Increase in the Attack stat.

Slowbro

Scald

  • Damage increased from 2163 to 2263 (+5%)

  • Movement speed decrease strengthened.

  • Attack decrease strengthened.

  • Slowbeam: Unite Move Charge rate increased from 134s to 122s (-12s)

Venusaur

  • Solar Beam: Damage increased from 10290 to 10655 (+4%)

Dragonite

  • Stat Changes: Increase in the Attack stat.

Mr. Mime

  • Showtime!: Effect duration on opposing Pokemon increased.

Patch 1.5.1.6 Balance Changes (Slight Adjustments)

The Pokemon in this list have been tweaked in a way to adjust their power or to fix certain bugs;

Blastoise

  • Rapid Spin: Effects on the user weakened.

  • Hydro Pump: Cooldown reduced from 8.5s to 7s (-1.5s)

  • Hydro Typhoon: Damage dealt to the opposing Pokemon decreased from 2666 to 2023 (-24%)

Cinderace

  • Blaze Kick: Damage dealt to the opposing Pokemon decreased from 1002 to 875 (-13%)

  • Pyro Ball +: Effects on the user strengthened.

  • Feint: The move’s movement speed increase has been strengthened.

Sylveon

  • Mystical Fire: Fixed bug(s) causing one or more effects not to trigger.

New Pokemon UNITE Game mode Catch ‘Em

The new game mode will last until 27th June and will feature unique mechanics and the debut of playable Legendaries in the mobile MOBA title. The Catch ‘Em game mode allows players to capture various wild Pokemon around the arena, following which players can then choose to deploy and control these captured wild Pokemon. These Pokemon you can capture include Ludicolo, Avalugg, and Drednaw, as well as the iconic Legendaries such as Articuno, Zapdos, and Regigigas.
