Omega Esports May Be Releasing Raizen and Kelra from its Mobile Legends Roster

Omega Esports’ veteran player Billy “Z4pnu” Alfonso revealed that his team is considering releasing two of its Mobile Legends star players.

Z4pnu also revealed that he is planning on establishing his own ML esports team called Z4 Esports.

Omega Esports’ veteran player Billy “Z4pnu” Alfonso revealed that his team is considering releasing two of its Mobile Legends (ML): Bang Bang star players. This was revealed through a vlog that was posted on 6th Nov 2021. According to the Z4pnu, the team may undergo massive roster changes for the upcoming Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 9. The ML pro player also reveals that he is planning on establishing his own ML esports team called Z4 Esports. Z4pnu also plans on releasing a podcast and is currently preparing the venue which is expected to be ready sometime next year.

Z4pnu states that Omega Esports is looking for a new Gold Laner

Omega Esports’ star player, Duane “Kelra” Pillas may be leaving the team soon, according to Z4pnu. The reason why the team is considering releasing the star rookie is yet to be revealed but Omega Esports is currently looking for a new Gold Laner, preferably a rookie.

“We’re deciding on whether we will remove Kelra or make him stay because we’re looking for a new Gold Laner that’s also strong,” stated Z4pnu. “I already mentioned this before, we’re looking for a rookie Gold Lane player that can replace Kelra.”

The pro player also discussed what will happen with the other Omega Esports members moving forward. According to Z4pnu, the team’s promising rookie Dean “Raizen” Sumagui is getting offers from other teams.

“Raizen is getting acquired by new teams,” stated Z4pnu. “We’re having problems deciding if we want to give Raizen away or not.”

According to Z4pnu, Omega Esports’ veteran player, Kiel VJ “Kielvj” Hernandez, widely known as “The King” will be staying and will be in the main roster in the upcoming MPL PH Season 9.

Z4pnu added that one of the veteran players, Patrick “E2MAX” Caidic may be taking a break for one season.

The team’s tank specialist, Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog, will be staying in the main roster according to Z4pnu. He added that Ch4knu wants to keep competing and follow Bren Esports’ Cartilo "Ribo" Jagdon, who is considered as one of the pioneers of the Mobile Legends esports scene in the Philippines.

“His (Ch4knu) target is to be the next Ribo, the next GOAT (greatest of all time),” stated Z4pnu.

Z4pnu is building his own Mobile Legends esports team

After discussing Omega Esports’ plans, Z4pnu proceeded to reveal that he is building a new esports team called Z4 Esports. The pro player stated that he is now working on purchasing a house that may serve as the new team’s boot camp and where he can also set up a studio for a podcast.

“I don’t know if it’s going to be next year or this year in December but I’ll be getting a house around Manila,” stated Z4pnu.

According to Z4pnu, the boot camp will house a team for an MPL team and another team for the Mobile Legends Development League, the amateur tournament counterpart of the MPL.

Omega Esports had a rough journey in the MPL Invitational 2021. The team was eliminated in the group stage after an upsetting match against ONIC PH which ended with a 0-2 match score.

Z4pnu stated that this marked the end of their esports run for this year. However, Omega Esports will be back on their competitive journey next year for the MPL PH Season 9.
