M4 World Championship Officially Confirmed to Be Held in Indonesia
The M4 World Championship venue has been officially announced and it will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia. The tournament is scheduled to be held in the first month of 2023. The annual event also boasts a massive Prize Pool. The M4 World Championship will feature the top 16 teams from 12 different regions competing for the prestigious title of World Champion. The second World Championship event was originally planned to be held in Indonesia but was moved to Singapore due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With the pandemic slowly becoming less of an issue, Moonton is finally executing its plans of hosting the M4 World Championship in Jakarta Indonesia.
M4 World Championship venue confirmed
The location for the upcoming M4 World Championship was one of the most discussed topics in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) community. It was not until 20th August that Moonton officially announced the venue for the upcoming major event.
According to a video posted on the official YouTube channel of MLBB Esports, the M4 World Championship will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia. The tournament will also feature an $800,000 USD prize pool, similar to the previous world series event.
This will be the first time that Indonesia will host the biggest MLBB esports event. Last year, Singapore had the honor of hosting the M2 and M3 World Championships.
The video also revealed a few details about the upcoming event. A total of 16 teams shall be participating from the following regions - Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Myanmar, Turkey, North America, Latin America (LATAM), Brazil, and the Mekong. Moonton is yet to reveal how many teams will be able to represent each region. Representatives will be decided through regional qualifiers for each region, including MPL tournaments.
The M4 World Championship will be held next year and shall take place from 1st Jan until 15th Jan 2023. Fans will have to keep their eyes peeled for more announcements regarding the upcoming world series event.
