The League of Legends: Wild Rift esports scene has reached China with its very first league circuit, the League of Legends Mobile Super Burning Warm-up Cup. Riot Games’ mobile MOBA title is referred to as Wild Rift globally, but in China, it is simply referred to as League of Legends Mobile. The top teams from the League of Legends Mobile Super Burning Warm-up Cup will earn a slot for the upcoming League of Legends Pro League (LPL) Track which will kick off in September 2021. LPL holds League of Legends PC teams and these organizations also have Wild Rift rosters who will be participating in the LPL Track. The tournament was originally planned to be held on 26th July 2021 but was promptly postponed due to the In-fa typhoon in China. League of Legends Mobile Super Burning Warm-up Cup Details

TJ Sports, a joint venture company of Riot Games and Tencent, responsible for the League of Legends PC esports in China, announced its ambitious plans in hosting the esports scene for Wild Rift in the region.

16 out of the 17 LPL teams are now gearing for the upcoming esports scene for Wild Rift. One of the LPL teams, Suning, widely known as Suning Gaming, will not be participating in the upcoming Wild Rift tournaments for undisclosed reasons.

Tournament Format

The League of Legends Mobile Super Burning Warm-up Cup will be played in two stages, the Swiss Bracket and then the round robin format, according to Liquipedia.

Swiss Bracket

  • Participating teams will progress and be matched against other teams with the same win-loss results.

  • Matches will be played in a BO3 format.

  • The top six teams will advance to the round robin.

Round Robin

  • Qualified teams will be divided into two groups of three teams each.

  • All matches will be played in BO1 format.

LPL Qualifier Ranking

The League of Legends Mobile Super Burning Warm-up Cup will determine the team’s starting tier for the LPL Qualifier stage.

Tier 1:

  • Reached 3-0 in Swiss

  • Top 2 in Round Robin Group 3-1

Tier 2:

  • Losing team from Swiss 2-1 and 1-2

  • 3rd in Round Robin Group 3-1

  • 1st in Round Robin Group 1-3

Tier 3:

  • Losing team from Swiss 0-2

  • Bottom 2 in Round Robin Group 1-3

Where to Watch the League of Legends Mobile Super Burning Warm-up Cup

All matches will be broadcasted live on the official League of Legends Mobile Huya channel at 3 am CT (4 pm SGT). The tournament will last until 30th July 2021.
