Indian Actor Tiger Shroff Signed as the Face of Esports Premier League

The Esports Premier League just signed Indian actor Tiger Shroff to be the face of the event.
The event will feature a prize pool of INR 2,500,000 ($34,070).
ESPL 2021 will follow a league format where eight esports teams will represent eight Indian cities.

ESPL signs Tiger Shroff as the face of the first-ever franchise based Esports league. The Bollywood actor became one of the first Bollywood personalities to associate with Indian esports. The Esports Premier Legaue is a nationwide Free Fire tournament which follows a league format. There are multiple teams representing various Indian cities and they will be competing for a prize pool of INR 2,500,000. Registrations for the Group A event have closed but interested participants can compete in the subsequent groups. Group B’s registrations are now live until 24 June, 2021. The final eight teams will be representing eight Indian cities later this year.

Esports Premier League (ESPL) 2021 Overview

The Esports Premier League 2021 will feature a total of 88 teams who will qualify via four groups. The teams will be joined by eight invited teams in the next stage where they will battle it out for a spot in the league stages. The final eight teams will be representing the following Indian cities:

  • Bengaluru

  • Chennai

  • Delhi

  • Punjab

  • Hyderabad

  • Kolkata

  • Mumbai

  • Rajasthan

The final eight teams will battle it out for the grand prize of INR 1,200,000 which will be awarded to the winners. The total prize pool of the event is INR 2,500,000 which will be distributed among the top eight teams at the event as well as the MVP and Fan Favorite players at ESPL 2021. The tournament Grand Finals for ESPL is scheduled for 29 August, 2021.

About ESPL

Esports Premier League (ESPL) is a nationwide esports tournament featuring a league format similar to the Indian Premier League. ESPL 2021 will comprise more than 700 online matches with more than 300 hours of gaming content.Teams will compete against rivals to represent eight cities across the country.

Interested players and fans can watch the live streams for the matches in six languages including Hindi, English, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Bengali. The live stream broadcasts will be available on the YouTube and Facebook channels of India Today Gaming along with India Today and AajTak. India Today Gaming has also teamed up with Hotstar to stream ESPL across the country.
