HQ Esports Crowned Champions of Free Fire Asia Championship 2021

The Free Fire Asia Championship (FFAC) 2021 which took place from 20^th to 28^th November 2021 concluded with HQ Esports being crowned as the champions. The Free Fire team from Vietnam apart from being named as the Asian champions also won $80,000 USD (INR 60,06,488) in prize money.

A total of 31 Free Fire teams had participated in the tournament from all over Asia. While seven teams directly qualified for the finals, the remaining 24 teams had to fight their way through the group stage. HQ Esports was among these teams, finishing on top of 'Group-A' to qualify for the finals, where they secured three Booyahs that ultimately helped them win the tournament.

HQ Esports Wins Free Fire Asia Championship 2021

The FFAC 2021 featured a total prize pool of $400,000 USD took place from 20^th to 28^th November with 31 participating teams. These competing teams were from various Asian countries like Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia, India, and Pakistan.

One team each from the seven participating countries directly qualified into the finals, while the remaining 24 teams had to compete against each other in order to qualify to the next stage.

These 24 teams comprised of four Vietnamese teams, four Indonesian teams, Four Thai teams, three Taiwanese teams, three Malaysian teams, three Indian teams, and three Pakistani teams.

HQ Esports which was part of 'Group-A' secured three Booyahs to lead the standings with a total of 101 points and 48 kills. This ensured that the Vietnamese team made it through to the final stage, where they once again won three Booyahs to top the table with 86 points to their name.

With this, HQ Esports ended up winning FFAC 2021, claiming the title of being the Asian Free Fire champions while also pocketing $80,000 USD in prize money.

Despite putting on a fantastic team performance, HQ was not able to showcase stunning individual prowess due to which the MVP award went to the Thai player MOMO from team CGGG, who placed third in the tournament overall.

Surprisingly the top four teams at the tournament were all from the group stage, none of the directly qualified teams could make it to a podium finish. Earena Esports from Thailand was the top-rated team from among the directly qualifying participants, finishing fifth at the FFAC 2021.
