Chinese internet and video game company, NetEase, has revealed its next big title, a 5v5 Tactical First Person Shooter (FPS) called Project M. The new mobile Tactical FPS title has sparked the interest of various gaming communities, with some influencers like YouTuber ImOw pointing out its likeness to Riot Games’ popular Tactical FPS title, Valorant. Project M is currently in its beta testing phase with only a limited amount of players allowed to participate. However, the devs did promise to open up more slots in the future so more players can experience and test the game. More information about the new mobile Tactical FPS title, Project M, can be found below.

Project M Open Beta Test is now live

NetEase announced the beta test for its new mobile Tactical FPS title, Project M. The new mobile FPS title drew the attention of the gaming community with its gameplay seemingly being influenced by Riot Games’ Tactical FPS title, Valorant, which is only made available for PCs.

Valorant Influencer, @ValorLeaks even went on to state that the game is a "Valorant clone".

Riot Games recently revealed that they are planning on releasing a mobile version of Valorant soon. Unfortunately, more information such as Valorant Mobile’s official release date and whether it will be made available for both Android and iOS still remains a mystery.

Project M features fast-paced gameplay with each character having unique abilities that they can use to their advantage on the battlefield. The main game mode will be 'Search and Destroy', where one team is tasked with planting an explosive in a specific area and defending it until the timer runs out while the opposing team will try to stop them or defuse the bomb before the timer runs out.

The game will also feature a wide variety of playable maps with obstacles and traps that challenge players to adapt to the environment and take advantage of whatever they can find on the battlefield.

How to join Project M Beta Test?

According to the official Project M YouTube channel, the closed beta testing of Project M is currently only available to a selected number of Android devices. However, registrations for the beta test have now reached its limit. Fans will have to wait for the next round of the beta testing phase if they want to play the game. NetEase is yet to provide the details on which devices are compatible with the game or how players can participate in the beta test.

Open Beta Test registrations are now closed.

It would seem that NetEase is aiming for the first-mover advantage in terms of mobile Tactical FPS title. It will be interesting to see if Project M will be able to impress the gaming community once it has been officially released.
