The underdog team of the Mobile legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2022 Falcon Esports eliminated RSG Singapore (SG) from the tournament with a 3-0 clean sweep victory. The Myanmar squad made quick work of the Singapore powerhouse team in the lower bracket playoffs. Through a post match press conference, Falcon Esports’s jungler Kenneth "Kenn" Hein mentioned that he admired ECHO’s star player Karl "KarlTzy" Gabriel Nepomuceno and Alter Ego’s Muhammad Julian "Udil" Ardiansyah. The team also aims to make their own name in the MLBB esports scene instead of just being compared to the previous Myanmar powerhouse Burmese Ghouls.

Falcon Esports showed signs of weakness in between matches by overextending their welcome within their opponents base. RSG SG was quick to capitalize these openings but Falcon Esports always seemed to quickly recover before the Singaporean squad could turn the tide in its favor.

RSG SG struggled to find its momentum during the first and second game due to the pressure applied by Min "Naomi" Ko Ko’s Franco. Each unexpected hook delivered potential skirmishes for Falcon Esports, forcing RSG SG in an awkward position where every uncharted area could be deadly for the team.

The third match was a one sided match due to a huge lead by Falcon Esports. Silent’s Bruno was not able to scale fast enough which left him in a bad situation. However, it did not matter much as Naomi’s Natalia took control of the whole map and was spearheading with a nine-kill standing at the 10-minute mark.

The match ended with a 3-0 victory for Falcon Esports leading to RSG SG getting eliminated from the tournament in 7th-8th place.

Falcon Esports Kenn shares the pro player he admires the most

Through a post match press-conference, the Myanmar team’s star jungler shared which of the pro players in the MLBB esports scene he looks up to.

“I would like to give a shoutout to my idol, KarlTzy from the Philippines,” stated Kenn.

As for whom he admires in the Indonesian teams, he stated “I like Udil as well, he used to be my idol.”

KarlTzy is one of the strongest junglers in the Philippines (PH) MLBB esports scene. He was a member of the PH Gold Medalist team of the Southeast Asia (SEA) Games MLBB event, Sibol, back in 2019. The pro player also won the M2 World Championship under Bren Esports before joining ECHO for the Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 9.

The journey of the underdog team Falcon Esports continues as it climbs its way back up through the lower bracket playoffs of the MSC 202. It shall be most interesting to see how this team progresses.
