ESL Reveals Wild Rift Southeast Asia Championship 2021

Esports organizer, ESL Gaming has recently announced the upcoming League of Legends: Wild Rift Southeast Asia (SEA) Championship 2021. The reveal of the upcoming regional championship was revealed through the official social media handles of ESL Mobile. The esports event will serve as the regional championship for the Wild Rift SEA Icon Series 2021: Fall, the second season of the first official Wild Rift tournament circuit by Riot Games. The tournament will feature the top teams from the regions Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Details regarding the upcoming Wild Rift SEA Championship 2021 are yet to be announced.

ESL Mobile teases Wild Rift Southeast Asia Championship 2021

Riot Games official Wild Rift esports circuit in the SEA region gets a new title for its second season. Unlike the previous championship, the teams who qualified for the regional cup will battle in Wild Rift SEA Championship 2021 instead of the Fall Super Cup.

The teaser was also posted by ESL Mobile, revealing the new title of the official Wild Rift esports circuit in SEA.

The esports organizer for the Wild Rift tournament in Taiwan, Cyber Games Arena, has also been replaced with Upmedia with a new tournament name called Taiwan Legends Championship, according to Liquipedia.

The Wild Rift SEA Icon Series 2021: Fall Season is currently undergoing for each region. The top teams for each national event will be granted a slot in the Wild Rift SEA Championship 2021 where they will compete for the title of SEA Champions.

Riot Games is yet to reveal more details about the upcoming Wild Rift SEA Championship 2021. However, we may hear from them very soon after all national tournaments have concluded.

• Thailand: 22nd July - 29th Aug 2021

• Malaysia: 12th July - 29th Aug 2021

• Philippines: 3rd - 5th Sept 2021

• Vietnam: 15th July - 22nd Aug 2021

• Singapore: 21st - 22nd Aug 2021

• Indonesia: 21st August - 4th Sept 2021

• Taiwan: 19th August - 5th Sept 2021

• Hong Kong: 31st July - 29th Aug 2021

Last season, EVOS Esports Thailand (TH) won the championship title in the Wild Rift Southeast Asia Icon Series 2021: Summer Super Cup. It will be interesting to see if EVOS Esports TH will be able to defend its championship title or another team will claim it in this upcoming season of the Wild Rift SEA Championship 2021.
