Call of Duty (COD) Mobile Season 5, titled Tropical Vision, will take players from the dry desert sands of Season 4 into tropical jungles with a new multiplayer map, a new mode and a brand weapon. Tropical Vision’s battlepass will feature a new tactical called Echo Grenade, all-female characters, and a brand new set of cosmetics. COD Mobile Season 5: Tropical Vision is expected to go live on Wednesday, 1st June 2022 at 5 pm PT. This means that for Southeast Asia, the new season will go live on Thursday, 2nd June 2022 at 8 am SGT. Here is what you can except in the new COD Mobile Season 5.

COD Mobile Season 5: New Multiplayer Map and Mode

Tropical Vision will drop players into the Apocalypse map, first seen in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. This close-quarters map is built for intense gunfights with the center lane seeing most of the action. There are also multiple interior spaces creating opportunities to ambush unsuspecting enemies. The center lane has the village on one side and the temple on the other, letting players flank enemies with ease.

Apocalypse is a COD: Black Ops Cold War map based in the tropics, fitting the theme of the season.

The new multiplayer mode in COD Mobile Season 5 will let players transform into super-soldiers to eliminate enemies and be the first to earn 30 points. Earn 1 point for eliminating normal enemies and 3 points for eliminating an enemy super-soldier. Super soldiers can dual-wield Death Machines with a total capacity of 200 rounds and have increased health. When you’re eliminated, or expend all of your ammunition, you will revert to the default Operator state. Players will be able to transform into super-soldiers by filling up their Fury gauge in three ways.

  • Earn 100 points for eliminating a normal Operator.

  • Earn 100 points upon death.

  • Earn 300 points for taking out an enemy super-soldier.

New Tactical, Weapon, Gun attachment for RPD and UI updates

Tropical Vision will also add a new tactical called the Echo Grenade, which…wait for it…gives you vision. The Echo Grenade pulses revealing enemy positions through walls. However, the grenade will not affect players running the Ghost perk.

This season will also bring a new assault rifle called Oden into the game, along with a Cooling Compressor Barrel module to the RPD. This replaces traditional firing with an overheat mechanism where you control the heat exhaust for stable and continuous fire.

COD Mobile Season 5: Tropical Vision adds a new tactical, an assault rifle and a new module for the RPD.

Season 5 introduces a significant user interface update. This includes a new Multiplayer lobby background and improving the visibility of the Clan Wars main lobby featuring greater clarity for your clan rank, node progress and top contributors. The Store is also getting a face-lift, with updated UI for Crates and Bundles, the introduction of animated backgrounds for Legendary Operators, and more stylized Lucky Draw screens.

COD Mobile Season 5: Battlepass

The Season 5 battlepass features a first for the COD Mobile franchise, a female-led operator cast. The free tiers give players the new Oden at Tier 21, Echo - Tiki Troops shotgun at Tier 26, and the From the Grave Calling Card at Tier 50. Other items included in the free tiers are Weapon Blueprints, Charms, and COD Points.

Purchase the Battle Pass for the chance to earn all of the content available in the Tropical Vision stream, including Rampage; Park — Survivor; Rivas — Smuggler; and Rosa – Animal Instincts. Get new Weapon Blueprints for the AK-47, MSMC, PKM, and the Kilo Bolt-Action.

This battlepass features a variety of female operators.
