COD Mobile May Be Adding More Rank Tiers for Season 8

Call of Duty (COD): Mobile may be adding more rank tiers for players to grind in the upcoming Season 8 update. Fans have been requesting Activision to add more rank tiers and challenges for the competitive players. Each ranked season in COD Mobile usually lasts around two months which is more than enough time for competitive players to reach the highest rank tier which is Legendary. The new rank tier named “Grand Master” was revealed by data miners and is expected to be introduced in Season 8. Activision is yet to confirm the addition of a new ranked tier in COD Mobile.

More ranked challenges may be coming to COD Mobile for Season 8

The ranked tiers in COD Mobile define your skill in the game. Player ranks will reset every season and will reward players with in-game cosmetics depending on how far they have climbed in the ranked ladder. This gives players a reason to reach higher rank tiers alongside testing their skills in-game.

Activision may be planning on adding more challenges to the current ranked system in COD Mobile, according to a datamining Twitter page. In the post, it is stated that the Grand Master rank will be added in between the Master and Legendary ranks. This means that instead of collecting around 6,501 points to reach the highest rank which is Legendary, players will now be required to collect 8,001 points in order to reach the peak.

According to the datamining Twitter page the data provided was from the official test server of COD Mobile.

After reaching the Legendary rank, highly competitive players will have one more challenge to overcome. The top 5,000 players in the Legendary rank will be rewarded generously along with a badge to show off their prestigious status of being one of the best players in COD Mobile.

Here are the new points required to climb on each rank;

• Rookie: 1-1,000

• Veteran: 1,001 - 2,000

• Elite: 2,001 - 3,000

• Pro: 3,001 - 4,500

• Master: 4,501 - 6,000

• Grand Master: 6,001 - 8,000

• Legendary: 8,001 and more

The Twitter page did not mention the name of the rank tier for the top 5,000 players. Fans will have to wait for the upcoming season 8 which is expected to drop at the end of September or early October.

It looks like Season 8 will be one of the most significant seasons in COD Mobile. Fans can definitely expect a lot of changes and new features in the game when the patch update finally arrives.
