Bren Esports will have to make adjustments in the fifth week of the MPL PH Season 8 due to the temporary tournament bans of Hayabusa and Lancelot which are KarlTzy's signature picks.
Despite this drastic shift of the meta, Bren Esports’s coach Duckyyy remains confident that this will work in their favor for the upcoming matches.
Lusty is confident that with the meta assassins temporarily disabled, tank heroes will have a huge advantage in the early game.

Bren Esports will be experimenting in the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 8 Week 5. Due to the release of the Mobile Legends Patch 1.6.18 update amidst the league tournament, the team will have to make adjustments and study the meta. The league also officially banned the four revamped heroes Hayabusa, Kagura, Odette, and Lancelot from the MPL league due to their surprisingly overwhelming performance in the recent update. This ban may prove to be a challenge for Bren Esports in the MPL PH Season 8 Week 5 as two of the heroes mentioned are Karl "Karltzy" Nepomuceno’s signature picks.

Bren Esports will have to adjust on the new meta without KarlTzy’s signature heroes

With a lackluster performance in the previous weeks of the MPL PH Season 8, Bren Esports marches into the fifth week with yet another hurdle. The new Mobile Legends Patch 1.6.18 update that recently arrived has drastically changed the meta. This resulted in four recently revamped heroes to be disabled in the tournament, as mentioned by Bren Esports’ coach Francis "Duckyyy" Glidro in a post-match conference. The two heroes- Hayabusa and Lancelot, happen to be the best heroes of Bren Esports’ star player, KarlTzy.

Duckyyy also revealed that the team will be doing a lot of experimentation in the tournament. He added that most teams will probably be doing the same thing.

“The patch arrived just a few days ago but I can see a lot of possibilities,” stated Duckyyy.

Despite this drastic shift of the meta, Bren Esports’s coach remains confident that this will work in their favor in the upcoming matches.

“I think it would be in our favor against ONIC (PH) also in our favor against Nexplay (EVOS),” stated Duckeyyy.

When asked whether the fans will be seeing KarlTzy playing marksman heroes, the coach refused to answer the question. Fans will have to tune in to the MPL PH Season 8 Week 5 to find out.

The team’s tank specialist Allan "Lusty" Castromayor also revealed that with the new meta and the banning of the four revamped heroes, he is quite confident that he can perform better as the team’s tank.

“Before the patch, it was hard because there is Lancelot and Haya (Hayabusa). The assassins that have potential in early (game),” stated Lusty. “Now, I see the early matches being weak.”

Bren Esports will have a chance at redemption in the fifth week of the MPL PH Season 8 as they go up against Nexplay EVOS on 24th Sept 2021 at 8:00 PM (PHT). It will be interesting to see how the teams adjust to the new meta in Mobile Legends.
