Blacklist International’s star rookie Kiel “OHEB” Soriano promises to make up for the matches he missed during the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 8 playoffs. The pro player was previously hit with a two-game suspension and a hefty fine due to unprofessional behavior. The pro player returned to the competition during the match between Blacklist International and Nexplay EVOS in the lower bracket playoffs which resulted in a 3-0 clean sweep victory for Blacklist International. The pro player also added that he will no longer make the same mistakes and act professionally towards other pro players in future matches.

Blacklist International is back in its complete form with OHEB’s return

OHEB’s two-game ban made the pro player miss the final match in the regular season and the opening match of the playoffs where Blacklist International was sent to the lower bracket playoffs by Omega Esports with a 1-3 match score. While the team did not make any excuses for their subpar performance, OHEB’s absence definitely played a factor in Balcklist International’s subpar performance.

However, after the suspension was lifted, the team recovered and won against Nexplay EVOS with a 3-0 victory, climbing its way up to a fated rematch with Omega Esports in the lower bracket.

During a post-match interview, after the match between Blacklist International and Nexplay EVOS, OHEB stated that he has learned from his mistakes and vowed to be more professional in future matches.

“I’ll be calmer, I won’t get carried away by my emotion and instead, I will use it as an inspiration so I can make up for my mistakes,” stated OHEB. “I’ll make up for my team, we will still grab that title.”

Despite being suspended for two games, OHEB showed no signs of slowing down. The pro player showed the same impressive performance during the regular season, starting the series against Nexplay EVOS as the match MVP with a 4-1-9 score while using Harith and ending the series with a 5-3-1 score using Nathan.

Blacklist International is set to redeem itself against Omega Esports on 24th Oct 2021 at 2:00 PM (PHT). It will be interesting to see if the defending champions will be able to defeat Omega Esports this time with OHEB back in its main lineup.
