The top 16 ML teams from around the world will be competing for the lion’s share of the $800,000 USD prize pool, along with the title of world champions.

The M3 World Championships group stage team distributions have been finalized. The upcoming major event in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang will kick off on 6th Dec 2021 and will feature 16 ML teams from around the world competing for the lion’s share of the $800,000 USD prize pool, along with the title of world champions. The teams will be divided into four groups with four teams each. The team distribution for the M3 World Championship group stage was decided through a lottery that was broadcast live on 6th November through the official social media handles of Mobile Legends.

The upcoming world championship is expected to be much bigger than the previous tournaments given how the Mobile Legends esports scene has widened its reach across the globe with the official launch of MPL events in Brazil and Cambodia.

M3 World Championship Teams

Here are the teams and their respective groups in the tournament;

Group A

  • Blacklist International (Philippines)

  • Red Canids Kalunga (Brazil)

  • Malvinas Gaming (Peru)

  • Bedel (Turkey)

Group B

  • Onic Esports (Indonesia)

  • Onic PH (Philippines)

  • Todak (Malaysia)

  • Vivo Keyd (Brazil)

Group C

  • Evos Esports (Singapore)

  • SeeYouSoon (Cambodia)

  • Na’Vi (CIS)

  • BloodThirstyKings (North America)

Group D

  • Team SMG (Malaysia)

  • RRQ Hoshi (Indonesia)

  • GX Squad (Middle East)

  • RSG SG (Singapore)

M3 World Championship Venue

The M3 World Championship will be an offline event and will be held in Singapore. Similar to last year’s world championship, Moonton is working with local authorities and the Singapore Tourism Board to ensure that the competition happens safely with all COVID-19 preventive measures in place.

M3 World Championship Tournament Format

Group Stage (December 6 - 9)

  • 16 teams will be split into four groups with four teams each.

  • Single round-robin format.

  • No team gets eliminated but the final rankings will determine the teams’ seeding for the playoffs.

Playoffs (December 11 - 18)

  • Double-elimination bracket

  • The top two teams from each group will be seeded in the upper bracket.

  • The bottom two teams from each group will be placed in the lower bracket.

  • Upper bracket matches will be settled in a BO5 series while the lower bracket will be in a BO3 series until the third round which will be settled in a Bo5 format.

  • Winners from the upper and lower bracket will meet in the grand finals.

Grand Finals (December 19)

  • The two finalists will settle on who will claim the title of world champion.

  • Matches will be played in a Bo5 series.

M3 World Championship Prize Pool

The $800,000 USD prize pool of the M3 World Championship will be split as follows;

  • 1st Place: $300,000 USD

  • 2nd Place: $120,000 USD

  • 3rd place: $80,000 USD

  • 4th place: $55,000 USD

  • 5th - 6th place: $40,000 USD

  • 7th - 8th place: $30,000 USD

  • 9th - 12th place: $15,000 USD

  • 13th - 16th place: $10,000 USD

  • Grand Finals MVP: $5,000 USD

Where to Watch the M3 World Championship

Fans can tune in to the action through the official YouTube Channel of Mobile Legends. The broadcast will feature multiple languages to cater to various regions.
