Here is everything we know about the upcoming OB33 update, including details about its release date and advanced server.

Being one of the most popular mobile titles in the world, Free Fire has been pumping out some good content ever since the year started. In February last month alone Garena had announced a couple of collaborations for Free Fire, the first with award-winning Assassin's Creed franchise and the other with popular K-pop band BTS (Bangtan Boys).

In January, the developers had released the OB32 (Open Beta) version of the game, which brought with it a horde of new features like introducing a new weapon, pet, and more.

Since then a month has passed and now players have started looking forward to the next upcoming version of Free Fire, OB33. Here is everything we know about it so far, including the expected release date, information about advanced server, and more.

Expected release date of Free Fire OB33 update

While no official information related to OB33 version of Free Fire has been released by the developers so far, observing data from the past a trend can be noticed instantly.

Taking a look at the release dates of the previous few open beta versions of the game, one can notice that Garena releases it either a day before or on the same day of Clash Squad (CS) Ranked Season's conclusion.

According to this trend, the upcoming Free Fire OB33 update could likely be released on either 23rd March or 24th March, as the Clash Squad season is scheduled to conclude on 24th March.

Season end date changed from 20 to 24 March

All Free Fire players do need to keep in mind that before the OB33 update goes live there will be a maintenance break by Garena, during this time the game will not be acessible to anyone. This downtime usually lasts for about nine hours, from 9:00 AM in the morning to about 6:00 PM in the evening.

Advanced Server details for Free Fire OB33 update

Advanced Server is nothing but a specific type of server that the developers deploy before each Free Fire update. Its purpose is to test out all the new and upcoming features that are about to be introduced to the game, specifically to check how it interacts in the game, it will not break the game, and other such things.

They are rolled out about two weeks prior to the official release date of the update. So, players that are interested to try out the features that will be coming along with the OB33 update can opt to participate in its Advanced Server which will be starting soon, probably between 6th to 14th March.

Once registration for the Advanced Server starts, interested players will have to follow the steps below to register themselves,

  • Step 1: Visit the official Free Fire Advance Server website. Two login options will be available and user can opt to use any one of them.

  • Step 2: After logging in a form will show up asking for basic details like name, phone number, and email.

  • Step 3: Once all the information is filled, they can submit the form to complete their registration.

  • Step 4: As the Advanced Server has capacity for only a limited number of players, only those who receive an 'Activation Code' will be able to gain access to it.

There is no alternative method other than this to gain early access for trying out an update in advance. If the player is lucky they will be able to gain an 'Activation Code' otherwise they will simply have to wait for a response from the developers.
