Krafton has announced a BGMI tournament called Freedom Face-Off featuring an INR 1,50,000 ($2,021 USD) prize pool.

A total of 16 directly invited BGMI teams will be competing in this tournament, featuring a mix of streamers and professional players.

Krafton has announced a Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) tournament called Freedom Face-Off in celebration of the 75th Indian Independence Day. The tournament is scheduled to take place on 15th August from 12:00 PM onwards, featuring an INR 1,50,000 ($2,021 USD) prize pool. A total of 16 BGMI teams have been directly invited for this tournament, featuring a mixture of popular streamers and professional players. This tournament emphasizes more on celebrations rather than winning, as only two proper Battle Royale matches will be played, followed by some fun matches. The invite-only tournament will be featuring a total of 16 directly invited BGMI teams who will be competing for an INR 1,50,000 ($2,021 USD) prize pool on 15th August.

Fans and the Indian mobile gaming community will be able to watch their favorite streamers and players in action at the upcoming tournament, which also acts as a buffer before the upcoming Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021.

Schedule and Format

The Freedom Face-Off BGMI tournament is scheduled to take place on 15th August, starting from 12:00 PM onwards. The teams will be playing a total of four matches, where two of these will be proper back-to-back Battle Royale matches which will take place on Erangel and Sanhok.

This will be followed by two more fun matches, the first one being a Pan Fight and the last match of the event being a Fist Fight. These two games are going to be really entertaining to watch.

Prize Pool Distribution

The INR 1.5 Lakh total prize pool of the Freedom Face-Off will be divided only between the top three teams of the tournament as follows,

1) 1st Place: INR 85,000 ($1,145 USD)

2) 2nd Place: INR 40,000 ($534 USD)

3) 3rd Place: INR 25,000 ($337 USD)

The remaining participants will unfortunately walk away with nothing, but they will be experiencing a lot of fun and will be spending a good time entertaining the viewers.

How to Watch

The tournament will be livestreamed on Battlegrounds Mobile India's official YouTube channel and Facebook page only in Hindi from 12:00 PM onwards on 15th August.
