Highlights
Valorant 3.07 saw Viper getting some much-needed tweaks to her wall which now affects enemies that try to move over it.
Leaving Deathmatch games will no longer trigger leaver penalty but completing matches is required to get full XP.
Jett’s Blade Storm kunai will now recharge after killing a training dummy or defuse practice bot.

Patch 3.07 just dropped for Valorant and while there are no major changes to agents or weapons, Deathmatch got a much-needed change. A lot of the times players queue into Deathmatch while waiting for their friends to queue ranked together. Leaving Deathmatch early resulted in player penalties forcing players to complete their Deathmatches and players were not at all fond of this.

Starting with Valorant patch 3.07, you can safely leave Deathmatch games without worrying about leaver penalties. However, you will not receive match completion XP unless you sit through an entire game. Here is everything you need to know about Valorant patch 3.07.

Valorant Patch 3.07: Agent Changes

Viper and Jett got some quality-of-life tweaks in the latest update. With the Last Chance Qualifiers (LCQ) coming up, Riot Games does not want to push out any major balance changes to enable players to practice on the game’s latest live patch, before heading into competitive events, which are typically played on older patches.

Viper

  • Passing through the highest portion of Viper’s wall now correctly applies instant decay to high-flying Agents

Jett

  • Jett’s Blade Storm kunai will now recharge after killing a training dummy or defuse practice bot

Valorant Patch 3.07: Deathmatch

  • Penalties removed for leaving Deathmatch early

  • Full game participation is required to earn XP.

Valorant Patch 3.07: Performance Updates

New setting, in Beta, “Raw Input Buffer” improves performance of input device processing. Valorant has used Raw Input for devices since launch and enabling “Raw Input Buffer” will adjust which APIs are used for processing input on devices like mice and keyboards.

Players should see major performance improvement when the setting is used with 8000hz polling rate mice. While the new setting might not make a noticeable change for everyone, it should lead to lower input lag for some players.

Valorant Patch 3.07: Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where Team Ace could be awarded in scenarios where it wasn’t earned by the team (we still respect teamwork!).

  • Fixed a bug where the text cursor would relocate to the right when editing text in the Report A Player menu

Riot Games also deployed some bug and crash fixes which should resolve crashes and stutters for some players. We can expect a bigger balance patch after the end of the Last Chance Qualifiers in all regions. The devs are still working on the Yoru rework which might drop before Valorant Champions kicks off later this year.
