TSM released Keaiduo but said that he will continue to stay in North America and train with the organization since COVID-19 cases are on the rise in China.
Cloud9 also parted ways with three of its players - Summit, Winsome, and Isles after just one split in the league.

Team SoloMid (TSM) and Cloud9 (C9) have made some official announcements about their rosters for the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) ahead of the 2022 Summer Split. Since the Spring split has concluded, all the teams are on their off-season breaks with the exception of Evil Geniuses which is the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) representative of North America (NA). The LCS Summer Split for 2022 is slated to begin on 18th June and teams are busy rounding out their rosters to perform well in the upcoming split.

TSM and Keaiduo part ways

Late on 2nd May, TSM announced on Twitter that it was parting ways with its mid-laner Zhu "Keaiduo" Xiong after one split. In December 2021, when TSM signed him, it said, “Keaiduo dominated our month-long scouting combine in Korea. He stood out as the top-performing mid-laner, bringing an aggressive look and crisp team fighting. We can't wait for you to see him crush the LCS.

However, Keaiduo will continue to stay in North America and train with the organization since COVID-19 cases are on the rise in China. TSM added, “During that time he will continue to train with us while also receiving pay and housing.

Keaiduo replied, “Thanks TSM for taking care of [me in] this time. And I hope TSM and all of TSM fans good in the future。 See you in the future, Goodbye.

Notably, TSM is reportedly roping in Taiwanese pro player Huang “Maple” Yi-Tang for the mid-lane, according to a report by Upcomer. However, the organization has not confirmed or denied this yet. TSM will look to bounce back from the disappointing split it had in the 2022 Spring.

Cloud9 releases Summit, Winsome, and Isles

Early on 3rd May, Cloud9 officially announced the release of its top-laner Park "Summit" Woo-tae and support players Kim "Winsome" Dong-keon and Jonah "Isles" Rosario from its League of Legends roster. The team announced via Twitter on 2nd May. Notably, Summit won the 2022 LCS Spring Split Most Valuable Player (MVP) award. All the three players made their debuts with Cloud9 this year and played only one split under the organization.

Support players Isles and Winsome took turns to play on the starting roster during the course of the Spring split. The release of Summit does not come across as a surprise since multiple reports stated that Cloud9 mid-laner Ibrahim "Fudge" Allami was reportedly moving back to the top lane, his original role and that Nicolaj “Jensen” Jensen was to return to the team as its mid laner.

Now, the players are free agents and it will be interesting to see which of the teams in the LCS pick them up or if they want to go back to their home regions.
