TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Announces Second Edition of GT Cup India 2021
TOYOTA GAZOO Racing (TGR) is set to host the second edition of GT Cup India. The event will be held in August and September this year for PC and PS4. Players will be competing for a prize pool of INR 2,00,000 ($2,700 USD) at the GT Cup Tournament. Winners at the event will get the opportunity to represent India at the Asia Cup along with a prize pool of INR 7,00,000 ($9,400). Registrations for the event have already commenced and will continue till 21st Aug 2021. Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming event.
TOYOTA GAZOO Racing (TGR) GT Cup India 2021 overview
The upcoming e-motorsports championship is open to PS4 and PC players. Players from PC can participate in the “GR Excelerate Tournament” and will stand to win PlayStations and earn a spot at the national rounds of the TGR GT Cup. The national stage will require all players to compete on PS4s.
In a press release, Wiseline Sigamani, Associate General Manager, Sales and Strategic Marketing of Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) stated that the event is meant for the “youth and motorsports fans in India. With the millennials spending more time at home, the craze for e-Motorsport has intensified and we are thrilled with the response received by TGR not just in India, but from across the world.”
