The Esports Club (TEC) has announced the first-ever South Asian Apex Legends event titled Rise of Legion: Apex Legends. The tournament is sponsored by Lenovo and Intel and will run from 15th June to 24th June. The registered teams from India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka will play through a round of qualifiers and meet teams from the Asia Pacific South (APAC South) during the semi-finals and the finals of the Rise of Legion: Apex Legends.

The prize pool for Rise of Legion is $10K USD and will be split between the top three teams and the most valuable player (MVP) of the event. The registrations for this event are live and will close on 14th June.

"Apex Legends has quietly emerged as one of the most exciting Esports titles around and there's always been a sizeable audience in India that has enjoyed the game," said Ishaan Arya, Co Founder & Head of Business Development of TEC in a quote to AFK Gaming. "After helping build up the Valorant ecosystem to where it is today, we're now looking at supporting other titles by creating both regional and international opportunities for teams and players. The publisher EA is very supportive and enthusiastic about the potential in the region and the response from the players."
