Sergio Agüero’s Twitch Viewers Like It When He Struggles with Video Games

Barcelona soccer player Sergio Agüero has quickly become one of the biggest Argentinian streamers on Twitch.
He revealed that he got into gaming as a kid when his father got him the Famicom with Super Mario Bros.
Agüero also founded KRÜ Esports last year, a team that will be representing Latin America at Valorant Champions later this year.

Argentinian soccer player Sergio Agüero who is the top scorer in Manchester City history and among the top five scorers in the English Premier League, has diversified his career and formed his own esports team and also streams on Twitch. Agüero founded KRÜ Esports last year and the organization’s Valorant roster has been highly successful in the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT). KRÜ not only dominated Stage 3 of the VCT, but it also qualified for Valorant Masters Berlin and has earned a qualification for Valorant Champions later this year.

Agüero’s Twitch career has also been successful with the soccer player earning over 3.4 million followers on the streaming platform. He typically plays Valorant, Fortnite, FIFA and Grand Theft Auto V. In a recent interview with Spanish publication El País, he talked about his experience on Twitch and how he got into video games.

How Agüero got into streaming on Twitch

Agüero talked about how fortunate he was to be able to come from an economic background that allowed him to play video games. His father got him the Family Computer which eventually evolved to the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). He got into gaming by playing Mario Bros and has been hooked to gaming throughout his soccer career.

While he has been involved with gaming since his childhood, he did not break into to the esports industry until 2020 with KRÜ Esports. Agüero also started streaming on Twitch and he calls himself a public person and likes to interact with his viewers.

When describing soccer he said, “I don’t speak. I play.” But as a Twitch streamer he gets to speak with his viewers. He said that he tries to share his own experiences, which might be interesting to his viewers. He has also done his fair share of “Just Chatting” streams on Twitch.

The soccer player will be looking forward to his teams performance at the Valorant Champions event later this year as KRÜ Esports heads into the world champions to represent Latin America.
