Riot Games Reveals League of Legends’ 2022 Patch Schedule

League of Legends’ 2021 update calendar has come to a close with the launch of 11.24b and Riot Games has already revealed what’s in store for players next year. The update calendar he for 2022 should come as no surprise for players who are accustomed to how Riot Games releases content throughout a calendar year.

The patch schedule mentions only content updates and scheduled balance patches. It does not account for emergency bugfixes that are deployed throughout the year to address game-breaking issues or glaring balance problems that may occur.

Here is the full schedule of updates for 2022. Riot Games is currently working on a marksman champion which should appear “very early” next year. The upcoming champion will have modified basic attacks similar to how Xayah, Graves, and Jhin function as champions.

What updated have been confirmed for 2022?

An Udyr visual and graphics update (VGU) has been scheduled for early next year. Once his design is updated, Riot Games will be revisiting a lot of the older champions and bring them up to the standards set by more modern releases.

Riot will tweak Udyr’s theme by making each of his stances associated with a Freljordian demigod. A bot lane marksman will also be released in early 2022. There is no fixed schedule for champion releases each year but we can expect at least three new champions going by RIot Games’ track record.
