Luminosity Gaming's roster will continue to compete under the organization's banner until the end of VCT Stage 2.
The organization is looking to find a new home for the squad once Stage 2 comes to an end.
Luminosity is open to returning to Valorant esports in 2023 when the competitive circuit will shift to a franchised league.

Luminosity Gaming is exiting competitive Valorant for the foreseeable future. The Valorant team will continue to compete in Week 4 of the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Stage 2 Challengers and will stay under the Luminosity Gaming banner until the end of the event. The roster will then be shifted to a different esports organization and Luminosity is currently figuring out how to proceed with the situation.

Luminosity Gaming May Return to Valorant Esports in 2023

Luminosity Gaming said on Twitter that it “remains passionate about esports and that [it] aims to continue for championships in every esports [it] participates in.” While the team has already exited Valorant, it might not be the last time that we hear of the organization with regards to competitive Valorant. The organization is keeping an eye on the Valorant’s esports structure in 2023 and might enter the competitive scene with a new roster in the future.

The format of the qualification events for VCT Masters and Champions is about to change drastically. Teams will participate in a league system instead of the usual double elimination bracket competitions we are used to seeing currently.

Franchising is about to become a part of Valorant esports with Riot looking to create a long-term partnership model with a select number of teams in each league. The publisher wants to “secure a foundation for long-term planning, deep investment in the ecosystem, and more engaging celebrations of fandom.”

The current roster will continue to compete under the Luminosity banner until the end of Stage 2. Since the roster was formed, Luminosity failed to win any major event but it is still in contention to qualify for Stage 2 Masters. The roster is currently competing in the Valorant Champions Tour Stage 2 Challengers (North America) event, which serves a gateway to Stage 2 Masters later this year.
