LCK 2022 Summer Split: Competing Rosters of All Teams

The League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) is kicking off its 2022 Summer Split on 15th June. Most people expected the split to start a week earlier than the actual start date but with the 2022 Asian Games standing indefinitely postponed, the LCK has gone with 15th June. As usual, the teams competing in the LCK and the LCK Challengers League (LCK CL) submitted their finalized rosters ahead of the upcoming split.

On 3rd June, the league wrote on Twitter, “As 2022 Summer is fast approaching, each of our teams has submitted their rosters for the upcoming split!” From a glance at the submitted rosters, it is evident that the majority of the teams are sticking with their Spring rosters without any big rejigs.

The following are the organizations that have fielded teams in the LCK and the LCK CL:

With this being the last split before the World Championship, teams will be looking forward to giving it their all. It seems like the LCK will get four teams competing at Worlds. The LCK 2022 Summer Split is the second split of the 2022 competitive season and the second year of Korea's professional league under the partnership program.

The LCK is a league that has best-of-threes (BO3s) in the regular split and the playoff matches will be best-of-five (BO5s). Even though the top six teams qualify for the playoffs, the top two teams get a bye to the semifinals directly.

Jungle: Eom “UmTi” Seong-hyeon

BRO had a good record in the 2022 Spring Split where it qualified for the playoffs with a scoreline of 8-10.

Damwon KIA

Top: Noh “Burdol” Tae-yoon

Top: Jang “Nuguri” Ha-gwon

Jungle: Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu

Mid: Heo “ShowMaker” Su

ADC: Seo “deokdam” Dae-gil

Support: Kim “Kellin” Hyeong-gyu

DK will look to secure the top spot in the LCK with the return of its decorated top laner Nuguri who was a part of the 2020 Worlds team that lifted the trophy.

DRX

Top: Hwang “Kingen” Seong-hoon

Jungle: Hong “Pyosik” Chang-hyeon

Mid: Kim “Zeka” Geon-woo

ADC: Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu

ADC: Kim “Taeyoon” Tae-yoon

The bot lane duo of DRX was one of the biggest talking points of the 2022 Spring split. The team had a strong showing last split but exited the playoffs a bit early.

GEN.G

Jungle: Han “Peanut” Wang-ho

Jungle: Ko “YoungJae” Yeong-jae

Mid: Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon

ADC: Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk

Support: Son “Lehends” Si-woo

GEN.G has a very strong team on paper with veterans like Peanut and Ruler under its belt. It also acquired Chovy in the offseason and ended up placing second in the league last split.

Hanwha Life Esports

Top: Lee “DuDu” Dong-ju

Jungle: Kim “Willer” Jeong-hyeon

Jungle: Kim “OnFleek” Jang-gyeom

Mid: Kim “Karis” Hong-jo

ADC: Lee “SamD” Jae-hoon

In the previous split, it looked like HLE was struggling quite a bit after the departure of Chovy and Deft as it finished tenth in the regular season of play.

Kwangdong Freecs

Mid: Yoo “FATE” Su-hyeok

ADC: Park “Teddy” Jin-seong

KDF is looking stronger this year and the team even reached the LCK 2022 Playoffs and defeated DRX in the quarterfinals.

T1 had a very successful spring season where it went 18-0 and ended up winning the Spring split. At the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2022 tournament, it fell short and faced a defeat at the hands of Royal Never Give Up (RNG). The team’s roster remains unchanged and it shall look to dominate the Summer Split as well.
