Highlights
Call of Duty: Warzone is set to feature a 'Battle of Verdansk' event on 19th August.
Fans can catch the event live at 10.30 AM PT / 1.30 PM ET / 6.30 PM BST in Warzone.
The event is likely to include a PVE activity, leading up to the Call of Duty: Vanguard reveal.

The Battle of Verdansk event will give Warzone players a glimpse of what to expect from Call of Duty: Vanguard. Fans are excited to see what Sledgehammer Games has up its sleeve to reinvigorate this year’s Call of Duty release after years of not being at the helm of development. Other studios like Raven Software and Treyarch worked on the most recent Call of Duty releases. While Sledgehammer assisted the other Activision studios with their projects, its last two standalone projects were Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare in 2014 and Call of Duty: WWII in 2017.

When is the Battle of Verdansk taking place in Call of Duty: Warzone?

The official Call of Duty Twitter account revealed recently that there will be an in-game event on 19th August which fans can catch live at 10.30 AM PT / 1.30 PM ET / 6.30 PM BST. Fans will get an official first look at Call of Duty: Vanguard, which is this year’s Call of Duty release, scheduled to release by the end of 2021.

While there is no official confirmation on what the event will be like, if last years’ Black Ops Cold War reveal is anything to go by, fans can expect a PVE mission to be available leading up to the official Vanguard trailer in-game.

How to play Battle of Verdansk?

Players simply need to log in to Warzone and wait for the event to go live. Once the event is available at the scheduled time, players will be able to load in and check out the new content.

It is recommended to get in-game before the event goes live as a large number of players might be trying to login at the same time, which could lead to server instability issues when attempting to get in-game.

All we know so far about the new Call of Duty from recent leaks is that it will potentially be based on World War Two and feature cross-platform gameplay between console platforms and PC. Fans have been waiting for an official reveal for months and this will be the first time that fans get a hands-on preview of what to expect from Call of Duty: Vanguard.
