Meanwhile, here are some of the possible fixes to overcome Dev Error 5476.

Dev Error 5476 is a Call of Duty Warzone error that pops up when a user launches the game. Numerous Call of Duty Warzone players reported the Dev Error 5476 on 27th July and it was prominent on major platforms including Windows, Xbox, PlayStation (PS) 4, PS5, and others.

Players have been voicing their frustration on social media after being unable to log into the game. Unfortunately, the Dev Error 5476 has cropped up yet again in Call of Duty Warzone following the latest update for Season 4 Reloaded.

On 28th July, Raven Software wrote on Twitter, “We are investigating an issue where Players are experiencing Dev Error 5476 and are unable to get back into Warzone.

The issue seems to be widespread since Raven Software quickly acknowledged it and confirmed that it is investigating the issue.

Dev Error 5476 in Call of Duty Warzone: Possible causes

  • A Glitch with Calling Cards or Emblems: Occasionally, if players randomize their calling cards or emblems, they may cycle to one that is bugged, forcing the Dev Error 5476.

  • Crossplay: The Dev Error 5476 can be triggered due to crossplay matchmaking bugs.

  • File Corruption: It could also pop up on your platform if the game files are corrupted or if the game’s latest update was not installed properly.

  • Corrupt graphics driver

  • Network issue

Possible solutions for Dev Error 5476

Disable crossplay

The first solution that seems to have worked in the past is to disable crossplay in the game. Following are the steps to disable crossplay:

  • Open Call of Duty Warzone

  • Head over to Options menu

  • Navigate to Account

  • Disable Crossplay

  • Restart game

Randomize Calling Card and Emblem

Since Dev Error 5476 could get triggered due to Calling Card or Emblem module glitches in Warzone, players can try to randomize them. Here’s how to do it:

  • Go to the Main Menu and go to your Barracks

  • Navigate to the Customization screen

  • Change Calling Card and Emblem to Randomize All

In case you already have Randomize option turned on, pick a random card and emblem.

Relaunch Warzone and Battle.net Launcher

A temporary system or device glitch could have caused Dev Error 5476 in Call of Duty Warzone. In that case, relaunching the game and the Battle.net client could solve the problem.

  • Exit Warzone and close the Battle.net launcher.

  • Go to Task Manager and end all tasks related to Call of Duty Warzone and its launcher

You can also perform a cold restart of the system or the device and your networking devices to check if it solves the error. Players can also scan and repair Call of Duty Warzone’s Installation.

  • Launch the Battle.net app and in the game’s library, select Warzone.

  • Now click on the gear icon and in the menu, select Scan and Repair.

If these possible solutions do not work out for the better, you will have to sit tight and wait till Raven Software rolls out a new fix. Since it has already stated that it is investigating the issue, it should not take long for the company to fix the error. With the new update out and players wanting to test it out, Raven Software will work quickly to iron out all the wrinkles.
