Global Esports defeated Velocity Gaming at the Valorant Conquerors the Valorant Conquerors Championship and will be heading into the Valorant Champions Tour’s Asia-Pacific Last Chance Qualifiers. Global Esports proved itself as the best team from South Asia in the VCC and will be taking home $16,500. GE can also potentially become the first-ever Indian team to be a part of the Valorant Champions main event if it wins the Valorant Champions Tour APAC LCQ next month. The team will be going up against Asia’s best teams in the upcoming event in a bid to qualify for Valorant Champions.

At the grand finals of the Valorant Conquerors Championship, all five maps were nailbiters with GE and VLT going all the way to match five. Split was the first map at the finals with VLT taking home a hard fought 13-10 victory. GE quickly responded with a 13-11 victory in match two at Haven.

Match three on Breeze went to overtime with Global Esports securing a 15-13 victory. GE was just one map away from glory when VLT responded with a 13-9 victory on Icebox. Global Esports managed to secure a win in the fifth and final map, Ascent, and secured $16,500 and a slot at the Valorant Champions Tour Asia-Pacific Last Chance Qualifiers.

If Global Esports wins the upcoming APAC LCQ event, the team will be the first Indian team to qualify for Valorant Champions. The team will get the opportunity to compete against the likes of 100 Thieves, Sentinels, Envy and Vision Strikers. The LCQ tournament will take place from 13 to 17 October and additional details on the format will be revealed closer to the date. The other teams that have qualified for APAC LCQ include BOOM Esports, REJECT and FULL SENSE.
