The Skyesports Champions Series has come to an end with Global Esports taking the crown at the event after beating Enigma Gaming. Both Enigma Gaming and Global Esports will be heading to the Asia Pacific (APAC) Challengers event later this week. The teams will go up against 18 other competitors from Southeast Asia for a chance to make it to Valorant Masters 2 later this year.

Global Esports vs Enigma Gaming Recap

The matchup between the two teams was very close and either team could have taken the win. Enigma Gaming started things off with a 14-12 victory on Ascent, with Rishi "RvK" Vijaykumar pulling off multiple round-winning plays. But Global Esports managed to keep him in check with a very aggressive start to the second game on Split. Global Esports took a 9-3 lead and quickly ended the game in the second round without allowing Enigma to mount a comeback.

Enigma’s Akram "Rawfiul" Virani took matters into his own hands during the third match and helped his team secure a 13-11 victory on Haven. With Global Esports trailing 2-1 in the best-of-five matchup, the team needed to win on both the remaining maps.

Ganesh “SKRossi” Gangadhar stepped up to the occasion and helped Global Esports secure a 13-8 victory on Fracture. Despite Rawfiul’s heroic efforts, Global Esports managed to maintain its first-half lead on the map and secure a win.

In the fifth and final map, Global Esports secured a tight 7-5 lead in the first half and SKRossi continued to dominate on Chamber with 23 kills to his name and helped Global Esports end the game with a 13-9 scoreline.

Enigma Gaming and Global Esports will get the opportunity to represent South Asia at the upcoming Valorant Champions Tour APAC Challengers 2 event.

No South Asian team has represented the region in a Masters event so far and the players on both teams will need to step up, if they want to qualify for one of the biggest Valorant LAN events of this year. The APAC Challengers event kicks off on 9th June and the grand finals take place on 26th June.
