Co-founder of METAT8 Esports, Sivatheeban "1437" Sivanathapillai called out a popular Axie Infinity streamer Chuck Fresco for Tweeting about Pro Players not trying out the new Origin update. Chuck made assumptions in his Tweet that some pro players are afraid to lose their top rank status in Axie Classic (also known as “Battle V2”) that they are skipping the Axie Origin (also known as “Battle V3”) update. Following this, 1437 made a Tweet stating that Chuck’s post is toxic and each player has their own ways of adjusting to changes. He also added that most of the actual top pro players don’t care much about their top rank status in Axie Infinity.

Chuck Fresco mocks players who are afraid of trying out the Axie Origin update

With the release of the Axie Origin update, a Twitter exchange between two Axie Infinity pro players got the spotlight.

The top 1 player on Axie Infinity Season 20’s ranked leaderboard, 1437, shared his thoughts regarding Chuck Fresco’s post that made fun of pro players who won’t be trying out the new update. “People adjust and react to change differently and that's alright. But attacking and making assumptions is not the way.”

Chuck Fresco commented on his own Twitter post, explaining that he is not expecting Origin to be perfect on launch day. However, knowing that the game will have a drastic shift in gameplay mechanics in the future with the new update, he wants to focus on the new mechanics instead of climbing the ranked ladder in Axie Classic.

Some fans also shared their thoughts regarding Chuck’s post, saying that learning Axie Classic’s gameplay is a crucial stepping stone into mastering Axie Origin’s new gameplay mechanics.

The Axie Origin update is currently in its early access stage. While players won’t be able to earn in-game cryptocurrency, the update offers a wide variety of new content and gameplay mechanics that players can explore and theorycraft.
