Apex Legends Global Series Split 2 Playoffs to Take Place in Sweden

Apex Legends Global Series Split 2 Playoffs will be the first LAN event for the game in three years.
The event will feature the best teams from North America, APAC North/South, EMEA and Latin America.
The event will kick off on 29th April 2022 with teams competing for a prize pool of $1,000,000 USD.

The Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) Split 2 Playoffs will take place in Stockholm, Sweden between 29th April and 1st May 2022. It will be the first international Apex Legends LAN event since 2019 with teams from all over the world competing for ALGS circuit points and a share of the $1 million USD prize pool. Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming event.

ALGS Split 2 Overview

The Playoffs begin with a Group Stage on 29th April where teams will be split into four groups of ten teams. Each group will play a six-match series against every other group in the Group Stage.

On 30th April every team will be assigned a starting position in the Bracket Stage’s double-elimination bracket based on their Group Stage performance. After playing through the double-elimination bracket, the top 20 teams will advance to the Finals.

The Finals will take place on 1st May and consist of a single Match Point series to determine the Split 2 Playoffs Champion. Split 2 Playoff teams are competing for their share of the $1,000,000 USD prize pool and valuable Playoff Points that will help them qualify for the upcoming Year 2 ALGS Championship event. The upcoming Split 2 event is essentially the gateway to the first-ever Apex Legends world championship.
