100T Kyedae Apologizes After “Body Shaming” Team Envy’s Crashies

100 Thieves content creator Kyedae “Kyedae” Shymko apologized for after Valorant fans criticized her for “body shaming” Team Envy Valorant player Austin ‘crashies’ Roberts and calling the player a “scrawny f**k.” Some Valorant fans also accused her of calling G2’s Cista ‘keloqz’ Wassim “noodle arms”, which was seen as inappropriate. She made the statement about Crashies during a Valorant watch party, after which Crashies’ teammate Jaccob ‘yay’ Whiteaker said that “It’s kinda messed up to personally insult someone live in front of 50k+ viewers, especially when that person has a severe food allergy.” Kyedae apologized following the incident and released a public statement about the situation.

Valorant community split over Kyedae’s comment on Crashies

Following the incident, Valorant fans were split over the situation blowing up. Some fans were confused about why some people took Kyedae’s comments so seriously while others were unhappy Kyedae’s comments. Sentinels player Tyson “TenZ” Ngo, who is Kyedae’s partner, commented that what Kyedae commented was pretty small in comparison to things he heard from other Valorant pros. But his response did not sit well with the community and he took down the tweet. Team Envy IGL Pujan ‘FNS’ Mehta joked about the situation and bragged how his team sent the “scrawny f**ks straight to Lumbridge” referring to Envy beating 100T last night.

A day after the incident blew up, Kyedae released an apology stating that she apologizes for the rude remarks towards Crashies. She directed her apology to the player as well as anyone else who has been affected by her remarks. She said “After getting off stream, I thought about what I said and what happened more and realized it wasn’t handled in the best way. I really shouldn’t be commenting on people’s looks and I can’t call it a joke when the other person isn’t laughing.”

She revealed that she sent a private apology and hopes to make the situation better. Kyedae is also thinking about taking a break from streaming and claims that she received death threats over her recent comments. Outside this incident she is also reconsidering full-time streaming and may be allocating more time to her education. She has not come to a decision about the future of her streaming career yet but she will be taking a decision soon.

Crashes responded to Kyedae publicly and said “We're good, I've been called way worse. Sorry this got blown up completely out of proportion but let’s just move past this s*** and have a good finals tomorrow.” He will be competing in the Valorant Masters Berlin grand finals tonight against Gambit Esports for a spot at Valorant Champions.
