There’s nothing to worry about and it doesn’t mean that you have been locked out of Apex during Christmas for being a bad player. The servers were simply acting up and a fix has been deployed. However, some players are still facing the issue despite the fix, and if you are one of them, here’s how you can fix the bad player data error in Apex Legends.

Here’s what you should do if you run into the "Bad Player Data" error in Apex Legends.

Solution 1: Check For Server Issues

The number one reason for the bad player data error is due to server issues. Whenever new content updates release, the issue becomes commonplace. Here is how you can check if the servers are online.

1. Head to: https://twitter.com/EAHelp

2. Head to: https://downdetector.in/status/apex-legends/

3. If there are any reported server or connectivity issues, you simply need to wait until the issues are resolved.

Solution 2: Try Repeated Logins

Sometimes, the servers are full and all you need to do is keep trying to log in and you may be able to get into the game. The servers can be full right after maintenance or during major content updates.

1. Wait for the Apex Legends "Bad Player Data" error

2. Let the game attempt to retrieve the matchmaking list

3. Retry if authentication fails

4. If it doesn’t work, try logging into a different server

Solution 3: Repair Game Files

1. Open Steam or Origin, depending on which launcher your game is located in.
