TSM annnounced that its offlaner had contracted COVID-19 in its Poland bootcamp and will miss the Group Stages of the major as a result.
As soon as he tests negative, he will rejoin the team at the major.

Earlier yesterday, we found out that Quincy Crew’s Quinn "Quinn" Callahan would be standing in for TSM at the ESL One Stockholm Major 2022. However, the player he would be replacing at the major wasn’t yet revealed. While we correctly assumed that he would be playing in the midlane, we incorrectly presumed that he would be replacing Jonathan Bryle "Bryle" Santos De Guia in the TSM lineup.

Quinn will stand in for SabeRLight at the Stockholm Major

Quinn will be standing in for Jonas "SabeRLight-" Volek, who will miss the group stages of the ESL One Stockholm Major 2022 because he contracted COVID-19 at TSM’s bootcamp in Poland. Fortunately, the symptoms are mild enough to allow him the possibility of testing negative and making it to the Stockholm Major playoffs.

“During our bootcamp in Poland, SabeRLight tested positive for COVID with minimal symptoms,” read TSM’s announcement on its official Twitter handle. “We are hopeful that he will test negative over the next few days and be able to travel to the Major. He will be rejoining the team as soon as he recovers.”

TSM then confirmed that Quinn will be playing in the midlane for TSM, while Bryle steps into the offlane role for the time being. The team also thanked Quincy Crew and Quinn for stepping in on short notice and helping it.

The ESL One Stockholm Major 2022 kicks off on May 12th and is expected to feature 14 teams from across the world competing for the $500K USD prize pool as well as the 3,530 DPC points that will be up for grabs at the event.

AFK Gaming will also be keeping track of the group stage on our ESL One Stockholm Major 2022: Group Stage tracker where we will keep the schedule, results and standings regularly updated.
