IXDL 2022 - an in-house league in NA to feature the best Dota 2 players in NA

The IXDL 2022 was announced in a Reddit thread, explaining the event was inspired by past in-house leagues, a similar tournament held by the Peruvian region, and the wishes of NA Dota 2 pros.

Who is competing in the IXDL 2022?

Around 50 players will take part in the tournament that will run for around two weeks. According to the official announcement, no unknown players will be a part of the event; most of the players will be tier 1 Dota pros. Some of the most popular names include Artour "Arteezy" Babaev, Jacky "EternaLEnVy" Mao, Andreas Franck "Cr1t-" Nielsen, and Quinn "Quinn" Callahan. The top Dota 2 players will be competing, so the average MMR of these games will likely exceed 10k.

Format and schedule

In contrast to the usual format of playing in private lobbies, the IXDL 2022 will see these players compete for actual MMR in ranked matchmaking. Starting at 8:00 PM ET (9:00 AM SGT next day), teams will queue a game at the same time, and it is expected that they get matched together. The matches will continue through the night

On 14th Jan 2022, the top ten players in IXDL 2022 would be determined by their W-L record. There will be two teams of five in the grand final, and the winning team will be crowned champions. In addition, a player from the final 10 will be voted the most valuable player of the IXDL 2022 by all the participants of the league.
