Team Undying has pulled off an incredible reverse sweep against NoPing e-sports in the grand finals of the BTS Pro Series S7: Americas to become the event’s champions. At 2-0 down, Team Undying were facing tough odds, but they showed fantastic gameplay execution in game three and four to tie the series at 2-2. In the final game, NoPing e-sports had a gigantic lead, and it looked as if the reverse sweep dream would not come true for the North American (NA) squad. However, Team Undying's stellar teamfight performance in the final game led them to not only turn the tide of this game but also to complete the reverse sweep 3-2.

Team Undying remained undefeated on its way to becoming BTS Pro Series S7 Champions

Team Undying completed an undefeated run as they didn't drop a single series during the entire tournament. In the group stage, the team played seven BO2 series, winning four of them and drawing the other three. During the playoffs, the team made it to the finals by dominating the upper bracket.

The first opponent of Team Undying in the BTS Pro Series S7 playoffs was Hokori. It ended up being an easy sweep for the NA squad, as they won by a score of 2-0 in just over an hour.

Nico "Gunnar" Lopez and Jacky "EternaLEnVy" Mao's reformed 4 Zoomers team was Team Undying’s opponent in the upper bracket final. Even though 4 Zoomers put up tough resistance, their opponents were just one cut above them in every respect, winning 2-0.

In the grand final, Team Undying faced NoPing e-sports, who had momentum behind them after an incredible run in the lower bracket. During the first game, both teams pulled ahead briefly, but NoPing e-sports ultimately won. NoPing e-sports won the second game that followed, while Team Undying won the third and fourth games. All of these victories were quite convincing for the winning sides.

The fifth and final game of the grand final might have been the most entertaining of all. At one point, Team Undying trailed by 13k. NoPing e-sports had a safelane Templar Assassin, a mid Batrider, and an offlane Mars, which made them strong in the mid game. In the latter half of the game, Team Undying, specifically Jonáš "SabeRLight-" Volek’s Dark Seer, came alive with a superb teamfight execution. Fifty-seven minutes into the game, Team Undying took the victory with a 38-37 score.

Here are some highlights of the BTS Pro Series S7: Americas’ grand final.

Team Undying takes home $20,750 USD as the first place finisher, while NoPing e-sports wins $11,250 USD as the first runner up. The NA squad had qualified for The International 10 (TI10) and is now expected to prepare for the tournament.
