“Myroslav “Mira” Kolpakov is currently in Ukraine and won’t be able to participate in the tournament. He’s safe and he’s getting all necessary support. He will be substituted by Vladimir “RodjER” Nikogosian" Team Spirit tweeted. Mira and carry Illya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk are the two Ukrainians on Team Spirit's Dota 2 roster.

Currently, Mira is in Ukraine, going through the Russian invasion, which started on 24th Feb. Matters have gradually deteriorated in Ukraine with escalating loss of life and property as a result of bombardments and shelling. A number of esports personalities and teams have expressed their solidarity with Ukraine over the past few days.

Additionally, Team Spirit noted in the tweet that any prize money that it wins at the Gamers Galaxy: Dota 2 Invitational Series Dubai 2022 will be donated to the International Red Cross Movement. The event has a total prize pool of 1,000,000 AED ($2,72,250 USD). The schedule for the tournament, which starts on 2nd March and ends on 6th March, has yet to be announced.

Earlier today, Valve also postponed indefinitely the Eastern Europe Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021-22 Tour 2, scheduled for the second week of March, likely due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine standoff. The EEU DPC 2021-22 Tour 2 is expected to feature 14 Ukrainian players. The organizer of the event, Epic Esports Events, will share details of the open qualifiers and regional league in the near future.
