T1 Defeats Motivate.Trust Gaming to Avoid Elimination in the BTS Pro Series S7: SEA
T1 has prevailed in the matchup against defending champions, Motivate.Trust Gaming in the BTS Pro Series S7: Southeast Asia (SEA). The series, which took place in the lower bracket's second round, saw both teams put up a fierce fight, but T1's impeccable teamfighting skills in the first and third games enabled them to win 2-1. In the two games that T1 won, Nuengnara "23savage" Teeramahanon was the standout player as he delivered solid core performances on Spectre and Monkey King. 23savage and his teammates keep their BTS Pro Series S7: SEA hopes alive, but Motivate.Trust Gaming exits the tournament in sixth place.
T1 vs Motivate.Trust Gaming: Match Recap and Highlights
During the first game, there was a quiet laning phase as both teams had greedy cores, so they opted to farm on the sidelines. Therefore, the game appeared evenly poised after the laning stage, but it was not the case since T1 won every teamfight following that in order to establish a strong lead. All T1 players gave top performances in the first game, as they won it in 36 minutes.
In Game 2, the networth pendulum kept swinging from one side to the other. A team would make a turnaround whenever it looked like the other was in the lead. Nevertheless, the entire load fell on 23savage for T1, whereas for Motivate.Trust Gaming, Masaros and Fearless did some notable work on Mars and Storm Spirit respectively. Q played a great game on Mirana, and Motivate.Trust Gaming won in 52 minutes.
In Game 3, both teams engaged in small skirmishes that didn't seem to benefit either. When the larger teamfights started, Motivate.Trust Gaming's heroes couldn't hold their own against T1's heroes, as 23savage's Monkey King and Karl's Lina dealt tons of damage. Therefore, T1 eventually won the game in 36 minutes.
Here are some highlights of the series.
T1, who has not looked in the best of shape in this event in comparison to their performance at the WePlay AniMajor and the ESL One Summer 2021, will be pleased to take this win and move ahead in the tournament. Motivate.Trust Gaming, on the other hand, could only manage a sixth place finish, and they will be disappointed with this result given that they won BTS Pro Series S6: SEA.
T1 will face Team SMG in the next round of the lower bracket in the BTS Pro Series S7: SEA on 14th August, 2021.
