A face-off between Team Secret and OG is always a classic, and their Western Europe (WEU) Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021-22 Tour 2: Division 1 series wasn't any different. The teams demonstrated some of the finest aspects of Dota 2 during this series but Secret prevailed at the end of a thrilling third game. As a result of their superior draft strategies, either team won the first two games. However, in the third game, both teams clashed back and forth, with neither team in the lead until the very end when Secret won a massive teamfight to clinch the series 2-1.

OG vs Team Secret: Match Recap and Highlights

Recap

In game 1, Team Secret came out on top thanks to favorable lane matchups. Not a lot happened during the first minutes, but Secret's draft started to pull ahead as it hit some key timings. As they continued to score important and timely kills, OG found itself on the back foot. SumaiL farmed insanely on Gyrocopter and his Ultra Kill at 31 minutes helped Secret attain a swift win.

In game 2, OG decided to go for Huskar for ATF, which meant Bzm had to move to the offlane on Tusk. Secret's heroes once again had a comfortable laning stage, but this time OG demonstrated its aggressive style in the middle stage. The healing and saves available to the team from Tusk, Abaddon, and Enchantress also helped it maintain the high tempo and overwhelm Secret. As Secret tried to fight back, it was always run over, resulting in a 34 minute loss.

In game 3, there were frequent battles as the teams utilized their prominent spells such as Chronosphere, Exorcism, and Mortimer Kisses for Secret and Metamorphosis, Epicenter, and Flaming Lasso for OG. Secret had established a lead of 13k by the 32 minute mark, yet OG was able to fight back thanks to an extremely farmed Terrorblade on Yuragi, preventing this lead from soaring. At one point, Yuragi was unkillable, but the game stretched to a point where Secret had too many tools to take him down. A massive teamfight victory for Secret with four OG heroes dying at 52 minutes meant that it won the game.
