Solo Discusses the Challenges NAVI is Currently Facing

After failing to qualify for The International 10 (TI10) earlier this year, Natus Vincere (NAVI) had unveiled a new roster for the ongoing Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021-22 that included some of the greatest players in the region. In the DPC 2021-22 so far, the new roster has not been in the best form, and in a blog post published by NAVI, Alexey "Solo" Berezin, the team's captain, reflected on the challenges that the team members currently face. Solo noted that this new team has been dealing with internal concerns about the game that have hampered their performances. They were making progress, he added, and they hoped for a strong comeback once the issues were resolved.

As each of the NAVI players on this new roster, with the exception of its safelaner Alik "V-Tune" Vorobey, is extremely experienced, there is a risk that their opinions and perspectives on the game can get muddled and this is what is happening at present for NAVI, as mentioned by Solo. Solo is optimistic despite the odds and is looking to solve these issues.

“I can say that the beginning of the season was difficult for our team. We have been dealing with a lot of internal disputes and disagreements from the beginning until now. We had trouble finding a consensus on our views on the game, but I think that we are on the right track and will become much stronger once we solve these issues,” said Solo.

Thus far, NAVI is 2-1 in the DPC 2021-22 with wins against Team Unique and Team Empire, which have been the weakest team so far and are on the verge of being relegated from this event. As for the loss, it happened in the first series against PuckChamp where they lost by a score of 2-0. Solo finds this overall 2-1 record satisfactory, but when he looks at each individual game, he says there is still a lot more to do as they have made a number of mistakes.

NAVI also competed at the OGA Dota PIT Season 5: Europe/CIS event last month, losing back-to-back series to OG and Tundra Esports 2-1, resulting in their elimination. Solo stated that while there were many things that went against them in the event, they were also capable of beating these squads when they had the right drafts and map movements.

Based on Solo's remarks and the games it has won, NAVI's current roster is certainly capable of being among the best. It will be interesting to see whether the team can resolve its issues soon and compete to the best of its potential for the remainder of the DPC 2021-22. NAVI has yet to face some tough teams like Team Spirit and HellRaisers further in the event.
