Southeast Asia (SEA) Dota 2 ranked matches have gained a great deal of notoriety over the years, thanks to the high degree of toxicity and eccentric playstyles. In a recent livestream, popular Eastern European player Roman "Resolut1on" Fomynok, who has been spamming SEA pubs in the past few weeks, described his experience playing Dota 2 in the region. Typical of the SEA pub atmosphere, Resolut1on hilariously seemed to be annoyed by the games. He compared playing in the region to “taking a bucket full of "s**t" while alluding to a game he had recently played.

Resolut1on describes his time playing Dota 2 in SEA pubs

In the Twitch chat on his 24th May livestream, Resolut1on was asked about his experience playing in the Southeast Asian region. When the question came up, he had, unfortunately, just played a rough game in which his midlane Tiny had gone 1-11-6. Clearly annoyed at the state of the games in the region, Resolut1on went on to give an honest, yet rather hilarious account of them.

“It’s like you take a big bucket full of s**t and you just constantly pour it on yourself. You are playing with this Tiny - Aah, F***king s**t, come all over me,” he said.

Although it is common to see the general Dota 2 community displeased with the way pubs get played in the SEA, Dota 2 pros, in addition to Resolu1on, have also complained in the past. Former two-time winner of The International (TI) Topias Miikka "Topson" Taavitsainen has frequently given his reasons when dissatisfied with the playstyle of SEA pubs citing players as being self-centered and putting forth unpredictable playstyles.

Resolut1on has been regularly livestreaming since the start of May 2022, and most of the pubs have been in the SEA region over this time. In most of these games, he has been playing as the offlaner, in preparation for his return to professional Dota 2 in this role.

On 10th May, Resolut1on tweeted that he was interested in making a comeback with his former teammate Baqyt "Zayac" Emiljanov, after being absent from competitive Dota 2 since November 2021 when he took a break citing professional burnout.

Resolu1on has been grinding a great deal of Dota 2 in the past few days, but it remains to be seen if he and Zayac will be able to sign with a new team before Tour 3 rosters are locked in. Both players have until 29th May (Sunday) to join a team's roster on Valve’s Major Registration Page.
