Ragdoll vs Talon Esports: Match Recap and Highlights

Recap

In game 1, both sides drafted counters to each other. After a silent laning phase was over, Talon Esports managed to get ahead with a couple of crucial pickoffs. Talon Esports at 24 minutes might have appeared to be the leader, but the enemy Medusa was free farming the whole time, and once she entered the battle, Talon Esports' lead in terms of networth disappeared. There was no stopping vtFαded’s Medusa as she was neither killed once nor kept in check and with her being at the forefront, Ragdoll secured a win in 40 minutes.

In game 2, Talon Esports was outdrafted and outplayed by Ragdoll. Talon Esports’ heroes were good in their own right but were severely lacking as a group. Despite its cores not falling massively behind in networth, they just were not able to have any positive impact on the teamfights. Ragdoll ran rampant, killing one hero after another. After fighting on for 40 minutes but achieving only three kills to the enemy's 29, Talon Esports lost the game.

Highlights

Here are some highlights of the series.

With some of the most talented players from around the world on the roster, Talon Esports seemed to be a strong favorite when first announced before the start of the Winter Tour. But as it turned out, the team's performances have not been nearly as good as those of its opponents, and the team is already in Division 2. As the team is no longer in contention for promotion to Division 1, it will be interesting to see how the players decide to move forward after this season.

Ragdoll along with Nigma Galaxy SEA and Polaris Esports remains undefeated in the DPC SEA 2021-22 Tour 1: Division 2. The three teams have an outstanding 4-0 record so far. These three teams will likely win against other opponents in their current form, so it will be a question of who prevails in the head-to-head matchups. Only the top two teams will qualify for Division 1.
