PSG.LGD has played T1 four times in 2021 and although the latter has put in some impressive performances, the Chinese squad has consistently outperformed them. In the recent matchup between the two teams, PSG.LGD won 2-1 at the Sapphire OGA Dota PIT Invitational on 7th Sept, 2021. The first game of the series saw PSG.LGD improvise a bit with a role swap that didn't work, and T1 ended up winning with solid teamfighting execution. In the next two games, the Chinese team was superb, simply outplaying its opponents in every setting.

T1 vs PSG.LGD: Match Recap and Highlights

Recap

Game one saw xiao8 give the midlane to XinQ who was drafted a last pick Tinker. During the early game, there were a lot of fights that did not especially favor one team. During the process, T1's cores were outfarming their counterparts, and when it came to the one crucial mid-game teamfight, T1 simply performed better and ended the game in 36 minutes.

In game two, a complete outplay by PSG.LGD was witnessed, as their heroes ran over the side of T1. They had a mid Batrider, an offlane Nature’s Prophet, and a support Monkey King, who kept running around the map finding kill after kill. It was Faith_bian who shone on Nature's Prophet, having a 17-0-21 KDA and helping PSG.LGD to a 36-minute win.

In game three, PSG.LGD demonstrated excellent laning skills as they took advantage of their drafts. Once again, Faith_bian led the charge for his team, moving from one part of the map to another, finding kills and making space for his team. T1 responded with some good teamfights, but PSG.LGD didn't let their guard down and won in 34 minutes.

Highlights

Here are some highlights of the series.

Right now, PSG.LGD seems to be one of the best teams in the world when it comes to mid-game decisions. Regardless of a stand-in, the team has consistently delivered incredible performances which is a testament to their individual skill levels.

While T1 has made significant progress in the international sphere, PSG.LGD is one obstacle that remains to be surmounted. All four BO3 series they have played have gone to three games, but PSG.LGD has eventually proven to be superior.

PSG.LGD advances to the upper bracket final of the Sapphire OGA Dota PIT Invitiaional where it will face the winner of Tundra Esports vs Fnatic. In contrast, T1 falls to the lower bracket, where it will face the winner of Thunder Predator vs SG esports.
