The Southeast Asian (SEA) Dota 2 teams continue to shuffle their rosters. Through its social media pages, Execration announced that it has parted ways with its safelaner, Jinn Marrey "Palos" Lamatao. Former Omega Esports member, Justine Ryan Evangelista "Tino" Grimaldo, (also known as "Mcy") has been playing as a stand-in for Palos for Execration in ongoing events such as the BTS Pro Series S8: Southeast Asia. There is currently no word on who will replace Palos or if Tino will become a permanent member of the squad.

Palos and Execration part ways

“Today, We announce the departure of Jinn Marrey "Palos" Lamatao from Execration. He has been an instrumental part of the team's success in the past year and we can only wish him luck in his next journey,” Execration announced on Twitter.

After a seven-month stint with Execration, Palos now departs the squad. With the team, he finished third in season 2 of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021 and qualified for the WePlay AniMajor. At the Major, the team had to compete against global giants in Dota 2. Despite putting out some impressive performances, it could not advance past the wild card stage. Following that, Execration did not qualify for The International 10 (TI10). After playing a few more events with the team where it achieved middling success, Palos now departs.

For the past week, Palos has been playing for BOOM Esports as its stand-in. His future as a permanent member of the squad is currently unknown.

In addition, Execration has been playing with Ryan "Raging Potato" Jay Qui as its offlaner for quite some time. Although there has not been an official announcement from the organization, it appears that he has replaced the team's former offlane player, Nikko "Nikko" Bilocura.

There is a similar matter with Yuri Dave "Yowe" Pacaña who was Execration's midlaner during TI10's qualifier. In all recent games that the team has participated in, Filipino player, Mark Anthony "Bob" Urbina has been acting as its midlaner.

Execration’s Dota 2 roster that is currently competing in the BTS Pro Series S8: SEA is:

  1. Justine Ryan Evangelista "Tino" Grimaldo

  2. Mark Anthony "Bob" Urbina

  3. Ryan "Raging Potato" Jay Qui

  4. Don Carlo "BDz" Manalo

  5. Ralph Richard "RR" Peñano

Since the next competitive season is still a while away, Execration may be testing players at the many SEA events it is participating in in order to settle on a final roster. The team will face off against Army Geniuses on 15th Sept 2021 in the BTS Pro Series S8.
